A stall at a fixed percentage is a frame-size clue
Migrations that always stop at the same point and time out are the classic symptom of a jumbo-frame mismatch: the handshake fits, the bulk copy does not.
Live migrations start, sit at the same percentage and time out. One host was given jumbo frames by somebody testing storage, and one port group was set to bond its uplinks while the physical switch was never touched. Read the refusal, find both mismatches, and put each end back in agreement.

the break-glass IR account `svc-ir`, checked out of the vault for this incident — never the compromised identity
The detection fired in the EDR console. You opened a live-response session from that detection, so your shell rides the EDR agent channel — containing the host will *not* cut you off, which is exactly why you contain from here rather than over SSH.

Networks fail convincingly when two ends disagree. Both faults here are half-finished work: a frame size set on one host, a bond configured on one side. Each produces symptoms that point away from the cause.
Migrations that always stop at the same point and time out are the classic symptom of a jumbo-frame mismatch: the handshake fits, the bulk copy does not.
Both hosts and every switch port between them must agree. Setting it on the hosts and forgetting the switch is the same fault wearing a different hat.
A teaming policy that expects bonded switch ports drops traffic intermittently when the switch was never configured. Intermittent is the giveaway, and it usually gets blamed on an application.
Bond the switch, or set the host back to spreading by originating port. What is not acceptable is leaving the two ends disagreeing because one of them is somebody else's team.
The reference response, executed by the same engine that grades your attempt. Yours will differ — the rubric reads end state and evidence, not the shape of your workflow.
Gate approved — 100%
15 of 15 rubric rules hold.
Gate denied — 92%
Refusing the consequential action is a defensible choice with a measured cost; the difference is what the lab is teaching.
Two ends of a network that disagree produce intermittent, deniable failures — the same signature as traffic being interfered with — so proving the mismatch and closing it is how you rule the interesting explanation in or out.

Mismatch faults — two ends configured differently — are the hardest class to find and the easiest to prevent by checking both ends of every change.
